ESTIMATED AGE OR ERA = True original authentic vintage piece. Hallmarks date it to 1959 - he produced jewelry as early as 1955 - so this is a nice early work
METAL AND/OR MATERIAL = Genuine finest grade amethyst gemstones and 916/1000 content as marked
CLOSURE/CLASP = Insert clasp
MARKS = 5 Hallmarks - see description and photos
MEASUREMENTS = Ever so slightly oval in shape and inside diameter measures about 2 1/8" x 2". Running a soft tape around the inside - I roughly estimated it can fit a 6 3/4" circumference wrist or smaller. It is a bit on the petite side, in my opinion. There is a 1" span between the top of one amethyst to the bottom of the other and each is about 1/4" in diameter. The body of the bangle is aprox 1/4" wide
US RING SIZE = x
WEIGHT = 19.7 grams on my scale
CONDITION = Fantastic condition for the age - no damage or quirks found to mention. Amethyst jewels are free cracks, chips, etc - this is in great vintage shape. You have to be mindful and carefully line up the peg clasp while inserting to make sure it gets seated properly in it's holder - but that is just the nature of the closure and I am certain it was designed that way. Lovely all the way around
View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will do my best to note anything glaring or distracting. Pictures normally speak louder than words and individuals also interpret characteristics differently.
