Art Nouveau Jewelry Casket - Jewelry Trinket Box - Cherub Angel Girl Face in Rose Flower - Arched Handle - Footed / Legs - Original Lining

Antique art nouveau jewelry casket footed trinket box:

~ Depicts a cherub or child framed inside a rose flower

~ Rose buds and leaves all around

~ Raised arch handle and adorable little feet - both with a rose vine motif incorporated

~ Original (tattered) blush pink silk lining

~ Matte / antiqued gold toned finish

~ Ready and waiting for your collection, vanity, bed side table, and/or gift giving


ESTIMATED AGE OR ERA = True original antique piece - guessing very late 1800's to early part of the 1900's - art nouveau in both age and style

METAL AND/OR MATERIAL = Appears to be gold plated with an additional layer of gold coloring or paint

CLOSURE/CLASP = Hinge without breaks or repairs and in great working order

MARKS = N B Rogers S.P.C. 943 on the bottom

MEASUREMENTS = 5.5" across x 4" tall x 3.5" deep

WEIGHT = x

CONDITION = Good condition for the age - most have damage, hinge breakage, and no longer have their original lining. The lining is there - but sure shows it's age. There are tears and pieces no longer attached, etc. The box itself is very well intact. No hinge damage or repairs and all is in good working order. I don't believe the gold finish or paint is the original finish - but a later addition. But due to wear and patina, etc - I do think that it has been on there for quite some time. All in all a great little vintage jewelry box!

Please view & enlarge all photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will do my best to note anything glaring or distracting.
