Elaborate Antique Victorian 1800's Watch Fob with Wax Seal Drop - Scrolling Lacy Design - Glowing Amethyst Purple Oval Jewel - Great Cond.

Ornate Victorian watch fob / pendant with wax seal :

~ Elaborate scrolling design

~ Large glowing purple oval amethyst jewel - that I am assuming is a glass piece. Bezel set in the center of the top portion - it has a smooth cabochon cut treatment to the top or front side, but is faceted on the back. The special cut gives it a unique depth and overall look

~ Wax seal drop or finial - perfect for engraving a monogram if you would desire

~ I believe this was originally a watch fob - but would make a great necklace component / pendant also

~ Ready and waiting for your watch chain, neckline, collection, and/or gift giving

ESTIMATED AGE OR ERA = Late 1800's - Victorian period

METAL AND/OR MATERIAL = Gold plated or filled with a glass rhinestone

CLOSURE/CLASP = Loop on the top for a jump ring to connect a watch chain, necklace or item of your choice

MARKS = None that I could find

MEASUREMENTS = 2 5/8" long (including top bail or ring) x 7/8" wide

CONDITION = Great antique condition - no damage or quirks that I could find to mention. The glass gem is free from cracks, chips, excessive wear, etc and the plating is intact and in fine shape. Fantastic old piece
