AGE OR ERA: Original true vintage piece 1940's to 1950's would be my best guess

MARKINGS: On the back sides of each round rhinestone setting - 1/20 12k G.F. and the CA on a curved arrow mark. CARL-ART INC. produced jewelry as early as 1936 under their own name (and also made pieces for others such as Walter Lampl)

METAL / MATERIAL: Faceted colored glass rhinestones, gold plated finish - most likely on sterling silver body as the entire piece is non-magnetic. You can also spy some sterling silver colored base metal on higher contact wear areas mainly on the back side. This piece is very high end and also has the heft and construction of sterling silver - so I have no reason to question or doubt that it is, but no guarantees of course. It is just an experience, educated guess. I don't want to scrape or scratch up this great old piece to be able to say for certain.

CLASP / CLOSURE: Standard roll over safety pin back closure on each ribbon swirl setting

MEASUREMENTS: The larger swirl piece is aprox 1" x 1 3/8" and the smaller 1" x 7/8" (not counting the tassels), fuchsia flower drops are each 1 1/4" long. Graduating or layered chains are about 6" and 7" long. Swag drop or length varies depending on how pins are placed or arranged.

CONDITION = Good vintage condition. On the smaller pin piece - there are two small blue rhinestones that have tiny edge chips. I needed to inspect with a 10x loupe to see them. Being prong set stones - it would be easy to replace them if you felt the need. Pin backs both in good working order

Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned.
