Artsy sterling silver, gold, and garnet comet double swoop pin:

AGE OR ERA: Original true vintage piece 1970's to 1990's would be my best guess

MARKINGS: None that I could find

METAL / MATERIAL: The majority looks to be sterling silver and the gold toned swoop appears to be gold plated with a brass base, genuine garnet of nice quality

CLASP / CLOSURE: Standard roll over safety pin back closure

MEASUREMENTS: Aprox 2 1/2" long x 7/8" wide - garnet including the bezel is about 1/4" across

WEIGHT: 11.8 grams on my scale

CONDITION = Good vintage condition. The pin back has a bend - that may or may not be intentional or original - but it functions well. The very tip of the gold tail has a tiny strip of brass showing. I am guessing it is where it was secured during the gold plating process. The gemstone is in great shape and free from chips or scratches
