Retro 1940's Vintage Sterling Silver and Rhinestone Comet / Shooting Star Brooch Pin & Screw on Back Earrings Set - Whimsical Wild Bold

Flamboyant whimsical retro pin brooch and screw on earring set:

AGE OR ERA: Original true authentic vintage pieces - guessing 1940's in age / classic "Retro" in era

MARKINGS: Pin has STERLING stamped on the back side - the earrings have STERLING stamped twice on each screw back turn knob

METAL / MATERIAL: 925 sterling grade silver, light gold plating or wash, and faceted glass rhinestones

CLASP / CLOSURE: Roll over safety clasp on the brooch and screw on backs on the earrings - most anyone should be able to wear these - pierced ears or not

MEASUREMENTS: Pin is about 3 1/2" long x 2 1/4" wide x 1 1/4" tall or thick - earrings are each aprox 1" in diameter

WEIGHT: Pin = 34.1 grams and Earrings = 8.6 grams on my scale for a combined weight of all pieces of aprox 42.7 grams in total

CONDITION = Great vintage condition - the large light blue topaz or aqua colored glass piece is held secretly by the custom prongs described above - but there is a small amount of play or looseness to the prongs. It jangles a bit when it is shaken. I am not sure if it is original to the piece or has worked loose over the years. The stone is not going anywhere and just mentioned for accuracy. Easy fix should you decide you feel the need to have them tightened. Gold plating or gilding has worn away as mentioned above - see pics. Overall evenly and perfectly - in my opinion. No chips, cracks, flea bites, etc to the stones at all and the hardware is all in good working and holding order. In an excellent state of preservation all around

Please view & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned.
