AGE OR ERA: Original true authentic vintage pieces - broadly guessing 1930's to 1960's in age. They used this famous bow tie mark as early as 1926 and discontinued by the year 1980. So - this set could fall anywhere in between there really - but it has an unmistakeable 1960's / 1970's look to me....

MARKINGS: Bow tie Whiting & Davis Co Mesh Bags mark on the back of the ring face and also on the back of each earring clip

METAL / MATERIAL: Peking art glass with gold toned metal settings and hardware

CLASP / CLOSURE: Earrings have clip on backs that should allow most anyone to wear them - pierced ears or not. And the ring has an adjustable band that can be pulled out / pushed in to the little opening on the side. It is currently about a size 6.5 now and it is about at it's limit to where the band no longer inserts into the hole...so I would say a size 6 on down if you would like the band to be inserted or seated into the opening or you could go much larger if that doesn't concern you.

CONDITION = Good vintage condition - given the age of the pieces. The ring exhibits more finish loss and base metal wear through - especially on the band and has a bit of a darker muted tone and the earrings have more finish intact and more of a brighter gold look. I imagine the ring was worn more often and/or experienced more friction from use (and handwashing, etc) that earrings would. But glass gems are perfectly matched and free from excessive wear or damages of any kind. Clip backs in good working order. In an excellent state of preservation all around

Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned.
