Rare Solid Gold AOUW Fraternal Ring - 10k Yellow Gold and Flawless Enamel Logo - Ancient Order of United Workmen Post Civil War Group - 1905

Rare antique AOUW solid gold mans ring:

AGE OR ERA: True very rare antique ring circa 1905/1906 - the inside has a patent date of 1905 - and this ring predates the metal stamping act of 1906. This piece is able to be dated very accurately to that very small window in time

MARKINGS: PAT.MCH2805 stamped on the inside of the band - meaning patented March 28, 1905

METAL / MATERIAL: Tests to be a minimum of 10k gold, it reached the lower end of the 14k range - so I am safely saying 10k is the minimum content. Tested using a non-invasive, non-marring, non-damaging method of course - and enamel in shades of black, white, red, and blue

CLASP / CLOSURE: x

MEASUREMENTS: The face is aprox 5/8" tall x 1/2" wide and the band tapers to 3.2 mm in the very back

WEIGHT: 4.3 grams on my scale

CONDITION = Great vintage condition given the age and rarity - there is a small flawed area on the outside back of the band. Looks to be a casting flaw or similar. It doesn't appear to go all the way through - it is very superficial and stable. See last photo. In an excellent state of preservation
