Swallow pieces were wildly popular and often given as wedding gifts or exchanged between bride and groom in those times (Victorian and Edwardian periods) and were worn by both men and women. A lovely sentiment that still holds meaning and value today

MARKS = Very faint and partial - THE PRESTO KURLER PAT .......... 10 OR 19 - assuming it was a more complete patent date and only the last two digits remain. I can't tell it it is a 10 or 19 - (denoting 1910 or 1919) for certain

MEASUREMENTS = Clip is 2 1/2" long x 1/4" wide and the arched hinged securing piece or opening or holding area is about 3/4" wide across and the same tall.

WEIGHT = N/A

CONDITION = Good vintage condition. No damage or quirks found to mention. All hardware and moving parts in good working order. In an excellent state of preservation
