Midcentury Scottish Hand Made One of a Kind Clip On Earrings - Whimsical - Twist - Swirls - Scrolls - Full of Hallmarks & Charm - c 1953

Handmade artsy vintage retro swirl clip on earrings:

ESTIMATED AGE OR ERA = True vintage - estimating 1950's based on what I can make out from the hallmarks - more specifically 1953

METAL AND/OR MATERIAL = Sterling silver or close in grade given the National Silver Control Mark

CLOSURE/CLASP = Clip on hardware should allow most anyone to wear these - pierced ears or not

MARKS = 5 marks / hallmarks on the bottom of the clip hardware - see pics. Three crowns in a trefoil shape which is the country mark for Scotland, S in a six sided / hexagon which is the National Control mark denoting a minimum of 800 grade silver - also used for 830 and 925 sterling silver grade metal, what appears to me like a CK in a rectangle, a castle type shape in an oval or circle, and a date code of C9 - which dates these to 1953

MEASUREMENTS = Each earring is aprox 5/8" across

WEIGHT = 2.3 grams on my scale

CONDITION = Great vintage condition - no damage or quirks found to mention. Hardware in good working and holding order. In an excellent state of preservation
