Vintage heart shaped foliage brooch by mid century modernist Jo Michels:

~ Famous New York City jeweler in the 1940's and 1950's known for commonly or primarily producing round or oval shaped repousse Chicago Silver / Kalo like pieces - very much influenced by Mary Gage and Lillian Pines (and the shop also retailed their works). This little gem is not of the typical form and very special indeed. Perhaps an earlier work?
