This is of a smaller size and was intended for children and called "Child's First Solje Pin" or "My First Solje" meant to wear at any special occasion that they would wear their Bunad
~ The jingling little disks or "spoons" are historically believed to reflect / deflect or repel evil and/or trolls in Scandinavian folklore

AGE OR ERA: Original true antique / vintage piece - broadly estimating early 20th century in age. 830 grade silver was the primary silver standard in the 1800s and began being phased out around 1920

MARKINGS: 830S for the silver grade 830 / 1000

METAL / MATERIAL: 830S silver and some gold wash or plating remains on the spoons

CLASP / CLOSURE: Early "C" clasp that compliments the piece perfectly

MEASUREMENTS: Measures about 7/8" in diameter

WEIGHT: 2.9 grams on my scale

CONDITION = Great vintage condition - no damage or quirks that I could find to mention. I have not cleaned or polished this at all. Fantastic origianal patina that only time and use can produce. In an excellent state of preservation
