AGE OR ERA: Authentic true antique / vintage jewelry piece - estimating the first quarter the 20th century and most likely Chinese in origin based on the materials and design

MARKINGS: Simply "SILVER" stamped on the back of the clasp

METAL / MATERIAL: Guessing 925 / 1000 grade sterling silver or close to it, natural amethyst and rose quartz gemstone beads and pendant medallion

CLASP / CLOSURE: marquise shaped tension held box insert hook

MEASUREMENTS: With the clasp unlatched and laid out end to end - the wearable length (total length not including the portion that inserts into the clasp) is aprox 18 1/2". The oval shaped drop adds aprox another 2" of visual length when wearing. Flat oval pierced medallion is aprox 1 7/8" long x 1 1/4" wide x 1/4" thick - the beads are about the same size but vary slightly due to their handmade / hand carved nature and range roughly from about 10-13 mm in diameter

CONDITION = Good vintage condition given the age and rarity. There is chipping to the reverse side of the pendant and very well could be original to the piece from the carving. There are some cracks and also natural inclusions to the centerpiece and other beads as well. The cracks I saw in the pendant all appear stable and the stone remains intact. This is a very old piece and expect quirks and characteristics from the hand carved nature, age and use. The glue around the pearl on the clasp has darkened and also there is an empty spot on one end with just a small jump ring - would be a nice opportunity to add a good luck charm or dangle of your choice to customize. In an excellent state of preservation

Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned. Especially if obvious and/or prominent in the photos.
