METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES and/or SYMBOLISM: Marble is known as the "Stone of Potential". It is said to promote peak states of meditation, support the perfect recall of dreams, enhance self-control, bring serenity and help develop and/or advance common sense.

AGE OR ERA: Authentic true antique / vintage piece. Broadly guessing late 1800's to early 1900's. Difficult to date for certain due to the handmade nature, lack or marks, classic ancient material and timeless design.

MARKINGS: None that I could find

METAL / MATERIAL: Natural stone in an off-white shade with rich dark gray veins or marbling

MEASUREMENTS: "Roughly" 6.25 inches x 6" (taken at the longest points) x 7/8" thick

WEIGHT: Over 1 pound, 13 ounces on my scale

CONDITION = Great vintage condition - no damage found to note. The off-white stone has developed a lovely deep and complex coloration that only time and use can provide. There is quite a bit build of of tar etc from years of smoking deposits in the center. I have not tried to clean it up at all and it actually lends showing it's age. See pics. In an excellent state of preservation

Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned. Especially if obvious and/or prominent in the photos.
