~ Imbedded with reverse or internal "Carved" Snow White rose flowers
~ Beautiful, useful, versatile and valuable vintage item - these have all of the right elements for the perfect gift or addition to a collection

Ready and waiting for your book shelf, night stand, kitchen counter, collection, or gift giving - you will love these!

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES and/or SYMBOLISM: The white rose has been known to stand for peace purity, innocence, a new beginning, everlasting love, and/or eternity. Very popular wedding flower and also a meaningful gift for brides

AGE OR ERA: Authentic true antique / vintage pieces. Estimating 1940's to 1950's in era - mid-century in age

MARKINGS: None that I could find

METAL / MATERIAL: Crystal clear lucite along with white and green colored or tinted material in the flower centerpieces

    CLASP / CLOSURE: x

MEASUREMENTS: Aprox 5" wide and 4" to 4 1/4" tall - depending on how you position them. Lucite is a solid 1/2" thick and has a very high quality look and feel. Rose medallions are 2 1/2" across

WEIGHT: Together these weigh just a bit over 2 pounds on my scale - so over a pound each

    TESTING: x

    U.S. RING SIZE: x

    INVENTORY NUMBER OR NOTE: x

CONDITION = Great vintage condition. You can spot some clear adhesive through the lucite in places - but it is original to the book ends and just part of the construction. Not discolored or glaring at all. There is a small area on a corner that has a flaw or roughness to it. Not sure if it is damage, adhesive residue, or other - but it is very inconspicuous and can be positioned out of sight by turning the bookends if it bothers you. May be able to be removed or sanded off also. I haven't tried as I am a bit of a purist and it isn't an eyesore at all. Very minimal random fine crazing and crackles that this type of old lucite can exhibit also. See pics. Well above average condition, in my opinion. In an excellent state of preservation

"A picture is worth a thousand words"
Please view & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned. Especially if obvious and/or prominent in the photos. Individuals do have varying levels of desire and tolerance for "vintage charm" so do utilize the scroll arrows beside the photos to allow yourself the opportunity to view them all, as they are an integral part and extension of the description.
