AGE OR ERA: Original true authentic vintage piece - art deco era - estimating late 1920's to early 1930's

METAL / MATERIAL: Tested and confirmed bakelite links

ANECDOTAL, METAPHYSICAL, &/or LORE: x

CLASP / CLOSURE: Spring ring clasp - clasp and jump rings appear to be made from copper or a copper toned metal with a brass or gold plated wash or finish

MEASUREMENTS: Unstretched and in a relaxed position the necklace measures about 15.5" long - if you apply some tension to stretch it out it reaches 17" or a bit over. Links are just under an inch (15/16 or .98) in diameter or exactly 25 mm across. Leads me to believe it may be European or more specifically, French in origin

TESTING: Positive for bakelite using both the Simichrome and rub and smell methods

CONDITION = Great antique / vintage pre-loved condition. No damage or quirks found to mention. This is a fine example anyone would be proud to own - from a novice just starting to explore or a seasoned collector. In an excellent state of preservation.

Please view & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned.
