~ Give the gift of perpetual flowers - guaranteed not to wilt or disappoint

Ready and waiting for your lapel, special outfit or day, jewelry wardrobe, collection, or gift giving - you will love this!

AGE OR ERA: Original true authentic antique / vintage piece - 1800's in age - Victorian era

MARKINGS: None that I could find - pre-dates metal stamping act of 1906

METAL / MATERIAL: Art glass goldstone centerpiece bezel set in solid 10k - 14k gold. See "TESTING" notes below. The majority of the metal is solid gold. Including the entire bezel and frame. The tiny little twisted rope accent and pin back hardware and catch do not test to be gold.

ANECDOTAL, METAPHYSICAL, &/or LORE: Known as "The Stone of Ambition", some believe goldstone assists in attaining goals and to be symbol of ingenuity, ambition, and drive. It also thought to reduce tension, revitalize, encourage a positivity, evoke the power of creativity and encourage believing in yourself. It may also enhance healthy circulation, supports tissue regeneration and offer protective energy.

CLASP / CLOSURE: Old fashioned "C" catch or latch

    MEASUREMENTS: About 2 1/8" x 1 3/4" x 3/8" thick (not including the pin back hardware)

WEIGHT: 23.3 grams on my scale

TESTING: This pin originally tested to be 14k solid gold (with a non-invasive, non-marring method of course) - then I lightly polished as it was badly tarnished, which I normally do not do - but I also wanted to make sure the testing was as accurate as possible. After cleaning - it tested to be 10k solid gold. I am going to err on the side of caution and call it 10k gold - but it very well could have a higher 14k content.

CONDITION = Great antique / vintage pre-loved condition - It is remarkable given the material and age that there is no major damage found to mention. Compare with other similar brooches and you will often find large cracks, chips, etc. It is very hard to find a brooch of this era and style without cracks, missing tiles, shards out, etc. There are small pits and voids mainly on the back side of the pin from the original molding of the goldstone piece. There is one very small, minor negligible shallow area or skip type blemish on the front at about 2:30 - most likely original to the pin also. So slight it is only evident at certain angles. See last photo(s). This is a fine jewelry piece anyone would be proud to own - from a novice just starting out to a seasoned collector. In an excellent state of preservation.
