CLASP / CLOSURE: Sliding panels

MEASUREMENTS: Front and back panels are aprox 11" wide x 5 3/4" tall (not including the height of 1/4" the little feet on the bottom give). The purse is about 4 7/16" deep. The height of the side panels are slightly shorter than the front and the back at aprox 5 3/8". The front and back pieces are a bit taller to conceal the channels the top sliding panels. Strap drop is roughly 5".

CONDITION = Perfectly imperfect vintage pre-loved, pre-owned condition. Well worthy of adoration or restoration by the right person. There are several issues, most have potential for improvement, if you felt the need. The leather straps are worn and one has a break that is held together by staples, there are dings and dents in just about every metal stud (one in back is almost all the way depressed), and one jewel is missing. There is wear, tiny chips, minor mars, blemishes and flaws on every side - please study the photos. There is a slight musty smell and some greening on the inside only - most likely from being closed up a very long time. Zero smells from the outside - so I have high hopes it can be cleaned, treated, and/or aired out. I have not cleaned this in any way. With that being said - it is complete, the sliding panels work well, and the painted designs are nicely intact. This is a very fine piece anyone would be proud to own - from a novice just starting out to a well-seasoned collector. In an excellent state of preservation.
