AGE OR ERA: Authentic true vintage jewelry piece - estimating 1940's in age. This particular maker only made these for a few years circa 1943 - 1950.

MARKINGS: Inside the band there is a makers mark of an A in a diamond shape - the mark of Acme Ring Mfg Co

METAL / MATERIAL: Yellow gold plating over a brass base

CLASP / CLOSURE: None - stretch to slide on and wear

MEASUREMENTS: Band is about 5/8" wide and the circle is about 7/8" in diameter

ANECDOTAL, METAPHYSICAL, &/or LORE: The 8-pointed star (Octagram) is a long standing emblem for numerous religions and cultures. Its use and associations date back centuries - but still remain popular today. It stands for something fascinating, meaningful and different for many who use it. Some symbolism includes: representing balance and harmony, the eight elements of alchemy (fire, water, earth, air, Spirit, mind, body, and soul), and the Goddess Venus - who is a symbol of fertility and love.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition - no major flaws or damage. Some finish loss and rhinestone graying from time and use - I think it adds to the overall vintage look in this case. There are 4 rhinestones with well hidden chips and some minor denting on the inside of the band only. See last photo. In well above average condition, in my opinion. In an excellent state of preservation
