Vintage 1940's WWII era hand carved / handmade wooden slide on sandals:

~ Most likely from the Philippines or Thailand ... South East Asian - / South Pacific in origin

~ Entirely hand made and with beachy hut or house and palm tree design

~ You get two similar pairs here - one is just a bit larger and has slight variations on the top strap

~ Both shoes have near identical carvings through the wedge heel - and the rust colored fabric topped pair has a bright red painted bottom and the other with the lighter colored tops have a tan to orange colored wedge

METAL / MATERIAL: Hand carved light weight wood soles, embroidered fabric uppers and metal tacks and what feel like paper stays along the edges of the decorative foot strap

MEASUREMENTS: The pair with the beige strapping has a footbed measurement of about 9.5" long x a ball measurement of 2.5" and a 2" heel height, the shoes with the rust colored fabric uppers have footbed measurement of aprox 9.25" long and a ball measurement of a tad over 2.5" and a 2" heel - all measured on the inside of the shoe, not from the bottom of the soles. According to online charts - it makes the beige topped pair about a size 8 and the redder pair a size 7 - but please decide for yourself based on measurements.
