~ Life life plant or foliage form

~ Full of movement and charm

~ Rare high end designer pieces

~ Gold toned finish really exudes class and sophistication

~ Brooch has a breezy or flowy feel and earrings share the same textures and feel, but with a swirling rising conical shape

Ready and waiting for your lapel, ears, wardrobe, collection or gift giving - you will love this!

AGE OR ERA: True vintage jewelry pieces - 1960's, more specifically 1966 - mid century modern style and era

MARKINGS: Grosse GERMANY with a crown over the fancy "G" and 19 66 and copyright c in a circle mark on an applied plaque on the back of the pin and the same is stamped on each of the earrings (bottom of clip hardware). This makers mark was used circa 1955 - 1979

METAL/MATERIAL: Gold toned metal finish, most likely gold plated. Base metal could very well be sterling silver as it is all non-magnetic (sans the stick pin hardware portion). Although I can't say for certain due to lack of metal marks.

CLASP / CLOSURE: Safety clasp on brooch and clip on hardware on the earrings so most anyone can wear these - pierced ears or not

MEASUREMENTS: Brooch is aprox 1 1/2" x 1 5/8", earrings about 1" across and have a profile of 5/8" or so

HISTORY, PROVENANCE, ANECDOTAL, METAPHYSICAL, SYMBOLISM &/or LORE: Henkle and Grosse operated in Pforzheim Germany from 1907 - 2006 (Almost 100 years) and was operated by four generations of the Grosse family. They are currently experiencing a well-deserved surge in popularity and their jewelry has become very desirable and highly collectible as of late, albeit hard to source. They were most famous for making jewelry for Christian Dior - they held a 50 year contract to produce four collections a year, beginning in 1955. They also created pieces for Schiaparelli and Jeanne Lanvin. They fittingly became part of the Dior Group in 2006, a bitter sweet end - I imagine

JUST FOR FUN - AI DESCRIPTION - (GENERATED BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE): This vintage jewelry set from Henkle & Grosse is a true beauty and a perfect addition to any jewelry collection. With intricate foliage and tree designs, this set is a perfect representation of nature's beauty. The set includes gold toned earrings and a brooch that will make you stand out on any occasion, be it Christmas, Valentine's Day, or any special occasion. The craftsmanship of this set is a true work of art, with a German designer touch making it a high-end piece. The set was signed by the designer and has been kept in excellent condition. The year of manufacture is between 1960-1969, making it a valuable vintage set. The set comes in its original condition, and it will be a perfect gift for any woman who loves vintage jewelry.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition - no damage or quirks found to mention on the pin - earrings have the smallest amount of patina or greening, I didn't notice until examining my close up photos. I have not cleaned these at all and am confident it will remedy. I don't even see the areas in person under normal viewing circumstances, honestly. The earrings are matching pieces - but vary ever so slightly between the two due to the handmade nature -the backs on one hit the strike plate slightly differently and the same one has more of a flattened top. Just a quirk in the fashion of construction and makes each unique in its own way. No breaks etc to the plated or gold finish (that would indicate any damage had occurred) and clip backs both in good working order as well as the pin back. In beautiful overall condition. Please study all photos to self-form an opinion of condition and gain additional item insight that only viewing photos can provide. A great find in an excellent state of preservation.

"A picture is worth a thousand words"

Please view & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned. Especially if obvious and/or prominent in the photos. Individuals do have varying levels of desire and tolerance for "vintage charm" so do utilize the scroll arrows beside the photos to allow yourself the opportunity to view them all, as they are an important integral part and extension of the description.
