INTERESTING INFORMATION: In many cultures, a comet is considered a symbol of good luck or a positive omen, though interpretations vary widely. Some traditions view comets as bearers of good fortune or marking the beginning of significant change or blessings. Several famous comets were documented in the late 1930's to 1940's that are considered to be among the brightest comets of the 20th century - including the 1936 Comet Peltier, 1937 Comet Finsler, 1939 Comet Jurlof-Achmarof-Hassel, 1940 Comet Cunningham, 1941 Comet de Kock-Paraskevopoulos, 1942 Comet Whipple-Fedtke-Tevzadze, 1947 Southern Comet, and the 1948 Eclipse Comet. It makes one wonder which comet or comets this spectacular number was a tribute to....

"A picture is worth a thousand words"

Please view & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, wear, color variances and/or discoloration. Most older pieces by nature normally are "Perfectly Imperfect" and have some degree of all - and unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned (especially if obvious and/or prominent in the photos). These characteristics lend to the authenticity, look, and are part of the history and unique story that belongs to each and every piece. They should not only be expected, but embraced. Individuals do have varying levels of desire and tolerance for "vintage charm" so do utilize the scroll arrows beside the photos to allow yourself the opportunity to view them all and gauge for yourself, as they are an integral part and extension of the description.
