Several famous comets were documented in the late 1930's to 1940's that are considered to be among the brightest comets of the 20th century - including the 1936 Comet Peltier, 1937 Comet Finsler, 1939 Comet Jurlof-Achmarof-Hassel, 1940 Comet Cunningham, 1941 Comet de Kock-Paraskevopoulos, 1942 Comet Whipple-Fedtke-Tevzadze, 1947 Southern Comet, and the 1948 Eclipse Comet. In an excellent state of preservation and it should provide many more years of trusty service if it continues to be as well cared for it the future as it has in the past
