AGE OR ERA: True antique / vintage statement jewelry piece - estimating late 1940's - (1949) to 1950's in age

MARKINGS: Reverse read stamp says W GERMANY on the back side of the brooch and it also says MADE GERMANY on the pin back - interesting how it doesn't differentiate Western Germany. It leads me to believe that this is an transitional piece, made very early in the divide

METAL / MATERIAL: Stamped metal body that appears to be brass or brass toned with a bit of a gold wash, gild or plating and art glass focal

CONDITION: Good vintage condition - there is one small area of discoloration or darkening along the edge - it very well may clean up or off, I haven' tried. And the faux pearls show negligible amounts of finish loss here and there as many of this age do. Easy fix or opportunity to customize by replacing with your own strand of wired pearls or beads, if you feel the need. Most unnoticeable, unless you are inspecting closely or with 10x magnification and actively seeking flaws.

In an excellent state of preservation and it should provide many more years of trusty service if it continues to be as well cared for it the future as it has in the past
