Antique French Single Cut Steel Shoe Buckle Piece - MADE IN FRANCE - Floral Pattern - Famous Estate - Endless Applications - Scarf / Jewelry

Antique French buckle:

~ Single cut steel shoe buckle

~ Suitable for a scarf slide, belt buckle, decorative element, jewelry making, ..... endless applications

~ Marked MADE IN FRANCE on the inside of the attached stay, visible when viewing from the front side

~ True cut steel construction - faceted in design and riveted on

~ Beautiful floral pattern with unique very reflective marquise shaped steel "gems"

~ Measures about 2 1/4" long x 1 5/8" wide

~ I was told that this was a part of/from the famous Sheaffer pen estate when I purchased it

CONDITION: Good condition given the age and collectibility - there may or may not be one cut steel head missing. It appears to be missing along the border where the back stay fastens to the frame. It may have just been a construction quirk. View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will do my best to note anything glaring or distracting.
