Wide Antique Black Velvet Leather Rhinestone Beaded V Corset Cinch Belt - Adjustable Double Holes - Makers Mark - Mourning Burlesque - RARE

Bold wide antique v shaped belt:

~ Black velvet with beautiful eye-catching applique

~ Fancy appplique front and center on fine gauge mesh tule type backing with hand prong set rhinestones and clear glass seed beads

~ Stylized star or flower pattern

~ Six sets of double metal grommet lined holes to hook brass prongs where you desire for adjustable fit

~ Black leather interior lining shows this has been well loved and worn over and over again - but amazingly - the exterior remains minty after all of these years. This has clearly been cherished and well taken care of

~ Could have been originally intended to be anything from a somber mourning piece or lively burlesque dance accessory

~ Completely functional and totally wearable yet today

*Marks: Original gold printed or stamped makers mark in art deco looking lettering - so badly worn I can't make it out at all. I believe it ends in an "e" - If anyone is familiar with the mark / maker - please message - I would love any info

*Measurements: 5" wide in front - tapers to 2" wide in back - Aprox 35 1/2" long in it's entirety from end to end. Wearable circumference is about 29" - 32" - prongs to shortest hook / loop

*Weight = N/A

*Condition: Great vintage condition - no damage to mention. Some waviness or rippling to the edges of leather on the inside of the belt from wear, movement, use, and age. All areas are stable, attached, and undamaged. Some stones appear to have been set upside down - just a quirk from the old fashioned hand set nature. When inspected closely with 10x magnification some chips, etc can be seen to the glass stones - but all are uniform in color and present very nicely and are amazingly intact

Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will do my best to note anything glaring or distracting.
