Antique / Vintage Mexican Plata 0925 Sterling Silver Ring with Interesting Blue & Black Stone or Art Glass Centerpiece - Fine Frame Details

Antique / vintage Mexican statement ring:

~ Features a rich Persian or robin's egg blue elongated oval gem with black veining

~ The stone is so perfect - I honestly don't know if it is a very fine number 8 or similar turquoise stone or a early high grade Czech glass piece

~ Very delicate detailed frame or border with scrolls, dots, and twisted sterling wire rope work

~ Split shank on the sides

~ I can't find any information on this Mexican crown pictomark at all (although I was easily able to find other examples) - you could have some fun researching the mystery

*Measurements: Face is 1 1/4" tall or long in front x 5/8" wide - band is aprox 2 mm wide or thick at the back

*Marks: Faint light markings - I believe it reads PLATA 0925 with a crown mark - plata translates to silver in Spanish. Denoting 0925 silver content or real genuine sterling silver grade. I found other examples online and in print, and they all originated from Mexico

*US ring size: 7.25

*Weight: 3.7 grams on my scale

*Condition: Good condition for the age - very minor issue with some denting of handmade hollow ball or dot features on the border, mainly one on an end. As to be expected from age and use - see last pic
