Old primitive early salt cellar or salt dip type spoon:
~ I am not a spoon expert at all - and can't seem to find much information on this maker
~ From my research I have seen identical spoons that date to as early as c. 1847 - I am guessing this is a later piece - aprox late 1800's - 1890-ish.
~ Simple understated double scallop or arch design on the top of the spoon front
~ Little dot or flair near the neck / bowl
~ Entirely non-magnetic - I am assuming that it is silver plated
Ready and waiting for your table, collection, or gift giving - You will love this!
MARKINGS: ROGERS & BRO A1 on the back of the spoon handle - see pics
MEASUREMENTS: 3 3/4" long x 1" wide
CONDITION: Great vintage condition - no damage or quirks to mention. No dings, dents, major scratches, etc - just the normal and desirable patina one would expect from a piece of this age
View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will try my best to note anything glaring or distracting. Do utilize the scroll arrows beside the photos to allow yourself the opportunity to view them all, as they are an integral part of the description.
