Very old antique Chinese / Asian wooden bracelet:
~ I believe this to be carved from the rarest, most valuable Chinese wood known modernly as "huanghuali" which translates into "yellow flowering pear" - pre 1900 it was called huali or hula
~ Prized for it's glossy sheen and characteristics that delight the eye - abstract ghost faces being the most sought after - I think you can pick out a few in this bracelet if you study the marks and beckon your imagination
~ Stylized snake or possibly leaf pattern in this wrap / coil / by pass style slip on bangle
~ I have a feeling that this is Chinese in origin - but other closely related Asian origin is also possible
~ Very old Victorian Chinoiserie / Chinese export era
~ Guessing late 1800's to early 1900's in age - as it was purchased with others in that exact age range
Ready and waiting for your wrist, collection, or gift giving - You will love it!

View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will try my best to note anything glaring or distracting.
