Antique large pearl and bezel set genuine diamond stick pin:
~ Topped with a very fine nice sized baroque pearl - iridescent and full of character
~ Buttercup or scalloped mount
~ Deep tapered open back bezel set genuine diamond
~ Additional little wishbone stay or forked mini pins op the top back to help stabilize and display the jewels when being worn
~ Bezel diamond cup is a white gold or platinum shade and the stick pin and top wishbone pins have a slightly warmer or yellower hue - not quite so yellow that I would consider them to be yellow gold, however - In my opinion
~ I am guessing this to be early 1900's - Art Deco in era
Ready and waiting for your lapel, collection, or gift giving - You will love it!
MARKINGS: None that I could find - but I was told that it was 14k when I purchased it quite some time ago and have no reason to doubt that
WEIGHT: 1.1 grams on my scale
HARDWARE: Solid gold stick pin
MEASUREMENTS: Pin is aprox 2 1/4" long from the top of the pearl to the end of the point - Pearl has a diameter of roughly 6-7 mm - diamond and mount meausure around 3 mm across - see ruler pic
CONDITION: Good vintage condition - Pearl is a very fine high end quality and without damage. The diamond has an inclusion or small area of chipping on the very edge - so small I couldn't get a good clear photo and only visible to me with 10x magnification. Stick pin has very slight minor rippling to it
View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature will normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will try my best to note anything glaring or distracting. Do utilize the scroll arrows beside the photos to allow yourself the opportunity to view them all, as they are an integral part of the description.
