Old primitive early salt cellar or salt dip type spoon:

~ I am not a spoon expert at all - and can't seem to find much information on this maker

~ From my research I have learned this maker got it's start in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1882 and produced through 1898

~ Acorn finial tops a rounded handle with turned details towards the top

~ Entirely non-magnetic and I am unsure of composition - it sure has the look and feel of solid sterling silver - but I do not want to scratch it up testing. So, I can't say for certain without an indicating mark

Ready and waiting for your table, collection, or gift giving - You will love this!

MARKINGS: Deep stamped marks - the first is an iron or Maltese cross - then HOLMES & EDWARDS and the number 5 on the back of the spoon handle - see pics

    MEASUREMENTS: 3 5/8" long x 3/4" wide

CONDITION: Great vintage condition - no damage or quirks to mention

View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will try my best to note anything glaring or distracting. Do utilize the scroll arrows beside the photos to allow yourself the opportunity to view them all, as they are an integral part of the description.
