Art Deco Bittersweet Burnt Orange Floral Carved Antique / Vintage 1930's Elongated Oval Bakelite Dress Clip - Rose Flower with Leaves

Bold 1930's vintage / antique elongated oval bakelite floral dress clip:

~ Striking long body deep carved with a single rose flower bloom and leaves

~ Opaque rich bittersweet or burnt orange color

~ Riveted on silver toned clip hardware that dates to the 1930's

*TESTING: Tests positive test results for bakelite using the Simichrome polish and rub and smell methods

*Measurements: 2 1/4" long x 7/8" wide x a bit over 1/4" thick (not included the depth of the hardware)

*Weight: 9.7 grams on my scale

*Marks: Pat 1852188 on the clip hardware - which was for the hardware concept invented by Elisha A. Phinney and dates to the 1931 / 1932 era

*Condition: Fantastic vintage condition - no damage to mention. The clip back hardware is in great working order. If I had to find a quirk to mention - the clip is set ever so slightly askew as is typical of these old dress clips - you will find that is the case in more examples than not. Intact, rare and lovely in every way
